”The Witch and the Wolf” is an original linocut reduction print, available in two colour ways; Sage, and Silver, as well as a limited single colour edition on mulberry paper. It is printed by hand on 300gsm Arches Hot Press Watercolour paper using Cranfield Relief Inks.
The Silver edition is limited to 8 original prints, and each one is unique and individual from the next. As they are printed from a hand-carved lino block, there are areas of what we call “chatter’, or left over sections where the lino has picked up ink. Rather than try to strive for perfection, these little marks serve as fingerprints to each print - no two are the same.
As it is a reduction print, the original block gets destroyed in the process of creation, so it cannot be replicated or printed again beyond its edition.
The print area itself is 9” x 7”, printed on a 12” x 8” sheet. Each one is hand numbered, titled and signed, and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Original artworks are shipped in secure flat packaging, unmounted and unframed. Both standard and tracked options are available. Please note that your order may be subject to additional taxes, import duties and customs duties if purchasing from outside the UK.
